Animation Nodes

4.5 LTS 4.5.15 LTS Broken

enable: failed · install: ok · 0 operators, 0 failed poll, 0 classes registered · Declares Blender 4.2.0

Cause: Uses the video-sequencer 'Sequence' API that Blender 4.4 renamed to 'Strip' (bpy.types.Strip, scene.sequence_editor.strips).

Suggested fix: Replace Sequence/sequences with Strip/strips, guarded by a bpy.app.version check if you still support 4.2.

5.1 5.1.2 Broken

enable: failed · install: ok · 0 operators, 0 failed poll, 0 classes registered · Declares Blender 4.2.0

Cause: Ships a compiled library built for an older Python. Blender 5.1 moved to Python 3.13, so binaries built for 3.11 no longer load.

Suggested fix: Rebuild the compiled parts (or the wheels in the manifest) for Python 3.13, and ship one build per Blender Python version.

Exception:

There is a Python version mismatch.

Your Blender build uses: (3, 13, 9)
Animation Nodes has been compiled for: (3, 11, 11)

You have four options:
  1. Download a version of Animation Nodes with a suitable python version.
  2. Try to make Blender use another Python version.
(Blender 4.2 officially uses Python 3.11.x)
  3. Compile Animation Nodes yourself using the correct Python version.
(Look in the developer manual for more information)
  4. Create an issue on Github and ask if someone can create a build for you.
